I always look forward to Food Fête when it comes to New York City several times a year.  Without fail, I always find fantastic new gluten-free or food allergy-friendly products when I am there.  This past fête was definitely the largest that I have ever been to and was chock-full of fantastic new items from new companies and some old favorites.  So, what were some of my favorite finds?  Well, I am glad you asked.

Amy’s: Always a favorite but new thaw and eat brownies and bite-sized biscotti (coming soon) were real standouts.

Cherry Man: Farm to Market Maraschino Cherries.  A fresh natural take on the classic red treat – they even have a TSA approved travel-size.

Crispy Green: Think you know freeze-dried fruit?  Think again.  These were amazingly fresh tasting with all the kick of their fresh counterparts.  The tangerine was mind-blowing.

Dang Coconut Chips: Simple ingredients, simply delicious.  Who knew?

Jama Cocoa: A small start-up that makes some of the most amazing chocolate truffles.

Jcoco from Seattle Chocolates: Really unique flavors – dark chocolate with fig was my personal favorite.

Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine: Isn’t everything better served in a Bell jar?  Nothing like what I had expected.  Made for a great cocktail.

Two Folds Granola: Delicious gluten-free granola – the quinoa variety was a real stand out.

Those are just a few of some of the outstanding products that were at the summer fête and in the coming weeks I will be spotlighting many of the finds more in-depth – so stay tuned.
