30 Days of Gluten Free Giveaways from Rudi’s

Friday, February 10th, 2012

My ever-fabulous friends over at Rudi’s Gluten-Free are starting 2012 off with a bang.  They are giving away a ton of great products and prizes daily over the next thirty days.

All you need to do is head on over to their Facebook page each day to enter to win that day’s prize.  Give their page a “Like” and you’ll get a $2-off coupon to use on any of their delicious products.

I have long been a fan of Rudi’s ever since I tried their Cinnamon Raisin bread at a Rudi’s event where it was love at first bite.

Here’s a bit more detail about the initiative from the brand:

Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery is on a mission to help those suffering from gluten-intolerance or celiac disease taste the good life through a 30 day Gluten Freebies Giveaway on Facebook.  Rudi’s Gluten-Free was founded on the idea that you don’t have to give anything up to go gluten-free – the company’s breads and baked goods look, taste and feel like the real thing – and is hosting this giveaway to share how delicious a gluten-free life can be.

“Now that at least one in 133 Americans has celiac disease, according to a study by Alessio Fasano in the Archives of Internal Medicine, we’re proud to show that even if you’re gluten-free you can enjoy food just like everyone else,” said Doug Radi, vice president of marketing for Rudi’s Organic Bakery. “Our 30 day giveaway gives new and old fans on our Facebook page the opportunity to win prizes that will spiff up their gluten-free cooking repertoire and put a little fun in their daily routine to help them live a happy, healthier, gluten-free life.”

Beginning on Feb. 6, fans can log onto the Rudi’s Gluten-Free Facebook page, “Like” the brand and receive a $2 off coupon. Additionally, by visiting the Giveaway tab on the Facebook page, consumers can enter weekly to win prizes given away each day, like Rudi’s Gluten-Free breads and baked goods, a Cuisinart toaster, Crofter’s Organic jams, a Kodak digital camera, and gluten-free cookbooks.

Rudi’s is also sharing the love here at GFM.com.  They have graciously given me a Rudi’s prize pack chock-full of great (and delicious) gluten-free swag.

One of my readers will win the following:

2 Free Product Coupons
1 Rudi’s GF Branded Toaster
1 Rudi’s GF Reusable Bag

Yes, you read that correctly, your very own Rudi’s toaster.

So what are you waiting for?  Head on over to their Facebook page and see what’s on offer today.  What better way to start 2012 than with a delicious gluten-free giveaway?

The giveaway has ended.

Congratulations to Ellen A. from Ohio who was the lucky winner.

Katz Gluten Free New Products and Giveaway

Friday, July 15th, 2011

When my friends at Katz Gluten-Free asked if I wanted to sample their three new products: Coffee Bundt Cake, Snack Popper cookies, and Apple Pie – it took me about a second to say yes.  I have long been a fan of Katz’s products since I first tried them a couple of years ago.

Well, they have grown steadily since that time and are now celebrating reaching 40 products in their delicious gluten-free line-up.  To celebrate this milestone they are graciously giving one of my lucky readers TEN of their gluten-free products (of the winner’s choosing).  As if that was not enough, they are having a super summer giveaway on their site that will give one lucky winner all 40 of their products.

Now on to the reviews…

The Coffee Bundt Cake arrives complete with its very own container of rich coffee flavored icing.  The cake itself is a very good-sized and could easily serve a hungry family and then some.  The cake itself is not too sweet with the icing adding additional sweetness and the subtle flavor of dark coffee.    All you need to do is place the icing container in hot water to help it melt and then drizzle over the cake.  It could not be easier.

The apple pie is a bit small at six inches though yields about four to five slices.  The pie has a terrific flakey crust and is full of sweet apples with a hint of cinnamon — though it could benefit from just a bit more filling.  Again, it is not overly sweet so you can pair it with some ice cream for a decadent and easy dessert.

The last product up was the new Snack Poppers.  Now these are gluten-free versions of egg kichel and are really something special.  Kichel are traditionally mildly sweet with the bulk of sweetness coming from their sugar dusting.  These are ideal with your morning coffee though I do tend to pop a few throughout the day.

If you have not tried Katz Gluten-Free than do yourself a favor as they really have something for every taste and have a knack for re-creating gluten-free versions of gluten-filled favorites that are completely indistinguishable when it comes to taste.

So, if you want to be the lucky winner of ten of their products of your choosing – just shoot me an e-mail with Katz Giveaway in the subject line and you will be entered.  U.S. residents only.  The contest will run through midnight Eastern Time on July 30th.  Don’t forget to head on over to the Katz Web site (and don’t forget to tell them I sent you :-) ) for your chance to win ALL of their products delivered to your door.

GF Swag and Delicious Recipe Contest

Friday, May 6th, 2011

You might have already heard but my friends at Rudi’s Gluten-Free have launched their Unbelievably Good Gluten-Free Recipe Contest on their Facebook page

Even better, they are graciously giving one of my readers a fantastic swag bag full of Rudi’s products.  I am a huge fan of Rudi’s and you’ll always find a selection of their products in my freezer.  I am particularly partial to their cinnamon raisin bread which makes a decadent french toast.

Here’s how the recipe contest works:

Simply submit your gluten-free story and a completely gluten-free recipe that includes one of their gluten-free products: Original, Multigrain and Cinnamon Raisin Breads, Multigrain Hamburger Buns and Hot Dog Rolls, and Original Pizza Crusts. It’s as simple as that.

Recipes will be open for Facebook votes through June 6, 2011. The top ten finalists, determined by those votes, will each receive a $250 gift card to Williams-Sonoma, an assortment of Rudi’s Gluten-Free products and swag, and a chance for their recipe to be selected as a top three finalist.

Three finalists, determined by a panel of judges, will receive a trip for two to Boulder, Colorado, home of Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery. While in Boulder, the three finalists will compete in the Final Recipe Cook-Off at Restaurant 4580 in Boulder on June 24, 2011.

The grand prize winner will star in a National Foundation for Celiac Awareness – Alternative Appetites cooking show with Chef Dan of Renegade Kitchen and be featured in a national advertisement for Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery.  So why not check out the contest, vote for your favorites, or even enter yourself.

And don’t forget the swag…

Things Just Keep Getting More Fabulous

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

Now that my new site and blog are running without issue we are moving out of beta and stepping into full-scaled launch.  There will always be tweaks and enhancements to make but I am now comfortable with the foundation my great designers and programmers have developed.  That coupled with also getting a handle on working on a new platform is helping to add to my comfort level – so it is now full speed ahead.

I had been holding back on adding new content until moving out of the beta phase.  So, get ready for and explosion of new reviews and giveaways to come at you fast and furious.

Monday I am launching a fantastic giveaway from a new allergy friendly company out there (and this giveaway is national).  I also have a second giveaway from one of America’s major companies that just happens to have a wide-range of gluten-free products — many of which you should be able to pick up at your local supermarket.  Finally, tis the season — and with the holidays fast upon us I am planning on very special holiday giveaway of my very own to help spread gluten-free cheer.

I have a cache of new product and restaurant reviews in the queue that are sure to blow your gluten-free socks off and they will be coming at you on a regular basis now that the new GFM is up and running.  Fasten those seatbelts because a whole new level of gluten-free fabulous just launched.

And The Winner Is

Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Congratulations to Shelly C. who is the lucky winner of the Betty Crocker gluten-free fruit snack giveaway.  Shelly will be recieving a delicious prize pack from Betty Crocker courtesy of my friends at My Blog Spark.

Thank you to all who entered and we’ll have another fun giveaway soon.

Let’s Have a Bit of Fun.

Monday, September 28th, 2009

I recently had the opportunity to sample a range of gluten free fruit snacks from Betty Crocker.  First was a variety pack that contains: Fruit Roll-Ups; Fruit Gushers; and Fruit by the Foot.  The second box contained Create-A-Bug fruit flavored snacks.  All of the snacks were really very good.

The first box was really a nostalgic trip down memory lane.  I remember the odd Fruit Roll-Up being packed in my lunches as a child for a sweet treat.  There is something about the sound the plastic makes as you unroll it that really took me back to my childhood.  More importantly it tasted just as I remembered it.  The Fruit Gushers were interesting small jewel-shaped fruit snacks that were filled with a tangy gel.  Finally, the Fruit by the Foot was similar to the Fruit Roll-Up only thinner and longer.  The Create-A-Bug snacks are your traditional fruit snacks that you (or your kids) can assemble into strange bug variations that kids will surely love.  What’s nice about these snacks is they are portion controlled which will make parents happy and each individual package is 100 calories or less…nice.  The fact that they are gluten free (now prominently featured on the boxes) is just the icing on the cake.

So I thought, what better way to start the week than with a great giveaway supplied by my friends at My Blog Spark.  One lucky GFM reader will win a fantastically retro Simple Joys prize pack containing two full-sized boxes of product as described above, a fun light-up yo-yo, a set of colored pick-up sticks, and a red Frisbee .  Perfect if you have children or are just young at heart.

Here’s all you need to do to win:
Simply make a comment to this post being sure to include your name and e-mail address (e-mail will not be displayed) on the provided form along with what’s your favorite gluten free Simple Joy (can be anything at all) and your city and state.  It is that easy.

One winner will be chosen at random and will receive the fabulous Betty Crocker Simple Joys prize pack pictured above.  The deadline to enter is Thursday at midnight Pacific time.  The lucky winner will be announced on Friday.  This giveaway is open to U.S. and Canadian residents only, but don’t worry my international readers I will try to have something for you soon.
