My annual visit to Montreux, Switzerland was via Zürich this trip and rather than connecting to a domestic flight (which would have actually made for a longer travel time) decided to take the train from Zürich to Vevey – which would be our base for three days before settling in at our usual location of Montreux for ten more days.

Pizza, Pizza.

When I was first diagnosed with celiac disease going on 16 years now, one of the biggest blows to my food repertoire was pizza. You have to remember that this was before the explosion of gluten-free items to the market so choices were few and far between (and quite frankly many options tasted just plain awful – oh, how far we have come).
