My ever-fabulous friends at LÄRABAR sent me a very unique surprise mailer with their new Chocolate Chip Cherry Torte bar a couple of weeks ago. Not only did the mailer itself get my attention but the new flavor itself was definitely intriguing. As I have been traveling quite a bit recently, I always look for throw and go-type products that I can literally toss in my bag and hit the road with. LÄRABARS are something you’ll typically find in my briefcase because I have long been a fan of their bars. I have said it before and I will say it again – I love all thing date. The fact that LÄRABARS are date-based meant we were destined to be gluten-free friends.
So how does the new flavor stack up? Do you really have to ask? I mean it’s a LÄRABAR for goodness sake. Think chocolate covered cherries with this one. The tangy cherry flavor is perfectly paired with tons (and I mean tons) of sweet little chocolate chips. Enter the almond and cashew pieces and you have quite possibly the most perfect LÄRABAR I have come across. Yes, I still love all of their bars but this one is truly a standout and has quickly become my new favorite flavor. That is until the flavor wizards at LÄRABAR come up with their next creation.
