I came across these at the market and the glaring gluten-free symbol on the package caught my eye. These were actually very good and made for a nice side dish that was super easy to make – just heat and eat. I popped it into the oven after letting it defrost and it took about 20 minutes to heat and brown.
The flavor was quite nice which was not surprising given the simple ingredients: butternut squash, hubbard squash, apples, egg whites, rice flour, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Real ingredients made for a light and fluffy soufflé that had just the right amount of sweetness so as not to take away from the nuttiness of the squash.
