Café Bellagio, Montreux

-+*I have been visiting Montreux every year for many, many years and still find myself visiting new places.  While I am often a creature of habit and have my favorite locales that I visit year after year – there are still some Montreux “classics” that I have yet to visit. Montreux Jazz Cafe

Montreux Jazz Café

-+*My annual visit to Montreux always yields surprises and this trip was no different. Sadly, this trip marked the end of Harry’s Bar which was undergoing a renovation to re-open as Funky Claude’s Bar while we were there. This was the end of an era for me as many a fabulous evening (and meals) was had at Harry’s so I was very sad to see it go.

Restaurant L'Olivier

Restaurant L’Olivier

-+*We dined here on the recommendation of friends who live in the area (who also happen to appreciate good food) and it is one of their favorite local spots. We were staying in Montreux but getting to L’Olivier in La Tour-de-Peilz could not be easier. The restaurant is located in the Hostellerie Bon Rivage a lovely small hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva.

GF on the Swiss Riviera: 2013 Update

-+*I am finally making progress on posting about my trip to Montreux last month and this trip visited some new favorite locales that I wanted to share. To make things a bit more streamlines I decided to do a hybrid post with some reviews here and others housed on TripAdvisor (all easily accessible in one click)…
