I have long been a fan of Spindrift beverages since I first reviewed their original sparkling beverage line a few years ago. The original line is the perfect blend of refreshing sparkling water, crushed fruit, and cane sugar. I am not a soda person in the slightest but these had just the right amount of sweetness and carbonation that made them absolutely refreshing.
If you follow me regularly than you know that my take on gluten-free is from more of a decadent and indulgent perspective – so I have to say that when Steve’s PaleoGoods reached-out to me to sample some of their products I was a bit hesitant. I mean Paleo was never really something that was even remotely on my radar.
One of those items that I truly missed when I first received my celiac diagnosis was my old friend – the bagel. You have to realize that my diagnosis came at a time when there were really not that many gluten-free options out there and well, those that were out there were not always the best replacements for their gluten-filled counterparts.
I have a tremendous sweet tooth so when Outrageous Baking out of Colorado reached out to me to sample some of their products it took about a second to reply with yes. There has been a proliferation of gluten-free sweets over the past few years – a far cry from my original celiac diagnosis days when I was happy if I could find a gluten-free cupcake…
