New Crunchmaster Products

My friends at Crunchmaster recently sent me two of the new items to sample.  I was really excited to get my hands on these because ever since I found out that my local Costco carries Crunchmaster I have become a huge fan of their products.

First up was the Multi-Grain White Cheddar variety.  These were simply out of this world.  These were square versions of Crunchmaster’s traditional multi-grain cracker dusted with a delicious white cheddar coating.  The Crunchmaster seed mix of flax, quinoa, millet, and sesame is quite simple the best combination out there and the nuttiness of the seeds paired absolutely perfectly with the salty tang of the white cheddar cheese.  These were not over-coated (as is often the case with flavored snacks) but rather fine-tuned in the flavor department allowing you to really appreciate the flavor of the cheese with the cracker – all without being too salty.  I would have loved to have paired these with some actual cheese but once I opened these they were quite literally gone in an instant.  I just could not help myself – nor could my non-Celiac other half who raved about these.

Next up was the 7 Ancient Grains Crackers with a hint of sea salt.  Now your first question is probably What are the seven grains Gluten Free Mike? Well, I am glad you asked.  These contained a fantastic mix of:  brown rice, sorghum, sesame, millet, flax, quinoa, and amaranth.  Let me be the first to tell you that yes, you can actually taste the difference from the traditional Crunchmaster crackers.    These are highly complex in the flavor department.  You’ll immediately pick-up on the heartiness of the grains – with their robust, nutty flavor – paired with the slightest hint of sea salt.  As always, Crunchmaster crackers and crisps are baked not fried and this variety packs 24 grams of whole grain per serving – nice.   These paired perfectly with a wide-range of cheese I paired them with as well holding up extremely well to a thick hummus.

Be sure to check out Crunchmaster’s Web site for their full product portfolio and if you come across these two new products be sure to pick them up.  You will not be disappointed.
